Dr. Arijit Ganguly was born and brought up in the serene environment of Santiniketan, West Bengal, India; the abode of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, the first Nobel Laureate from Asia. Gradually, he completed his education in Zoology and obtained his PhD from Visva-Bharati University under the efficient guidance of Prof. Parimalendu Haldar and Prof. Dipak Kr. Mandal. Later, he joined Rajiv Gandhi University, Arunachal Pradesh as a postdoctoral Research Associate where he was trained by Prof. Debangshu Narayan Das.
Presently, Dr. Ganguly is working as an Assistant Professor of Zoology in the Achhruram Memorial College of the beautiful district Purulia in West Bengal, India. Since last eight years Dr. Ganguly is working in the field of utilisation of insects as food for livestock. He has published a good number of research articles in the journals of international repute.
