Dr U D Chavan obtained his M.Sc. (Ag) Biochemistry degree from Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri in 1987. He received his Ph.D. degree in Food Science from Memorial University of Newfoundland St. John’s Canada in 1999. He has done International training on “Global Nutrition 2002” at Uppsala University Uppsala, Sweden in 2002. He also attended follow-up International workshop on “Global Nutrition 2002” at Hanoi, Vietnam in 2002. Dr. Chavan visited Denmark, Finland, Ireland, France, Switzerland, Poland, Spain, Vietnam, Thailand, England, and U.S.A. under “Global Nutrition 2002” Programme. Dr. Chavan worked as Senior Research Assistant in the Department of Biochemistry and Food Science and Technology at Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth Rahuri from 1988 to 2000. During his Ph.D., he worked as Technician/Research Associate at Atlantic Cool Climate Crop Research Center and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. He received D.Sc. degree in 2006 from USA. Now, he is working as a Professor in the Department of Food Science and Technology, Senior Cereal Food Technologist in Sorghum Improvement Project and Foreign Student Advisor at Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri, Dist, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, India.
Dr J V Patil obtained his B. Sc., M. Sc. and Ph. D. degrees (Agril. in Botany, Cytogenetics and Plant Breeding) from Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth Rahuri in 1979, 1981 and 1992 respectively. Dr. Patil worked on several positions since 1981 as Senior Research Assistant, Jr. Genetist-2, Associate Professor and Plant Breeder, Professor of Botany and now from 2007 he is working as a Head Department of Agricultural Botany and holding additional charge of Sorghum Breeder at Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri. During his service career, he worked on several administrative posts in the University. He worked as a Director of National Research Center for Sorghum, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad during August, 2010 to April, 2015. Now he is working as a Head, Department of Agricultural Botany at Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri, Dist: Ahmednagar Maharashtra State. He has published number of research papers in various national and international journals of repute and also presented research papers in several international conferences.
Dr B B Singh (M.Sc., Ph.D., PGDEM, FLWS, FISEP) stands out to be one of the innovative writers of the modern era. He was actively engaged in teaching and research at B.Sc. (Ag.), M.Sc. (Ag.) and Ph.D. levels, at N.D. University of Agrilculture and Technology, Faizabad, U.P. Having authored more than two dozen and edited numerous books, he holds a rich experience in the publishing industry; skilled in research, copywriting, and copy editing. He is the first recepient of the Young Scientist Award conferred by International Society for Environmental Protection, among other accolades including fellowship of Living World Society (FLWS) and International Society for Environmental Protection (FISEP) towards outstanding contribution in the field of Agricultural Sciences. He has published number of research papers in international journals of repute and also presented various research papers in several International Conferences. Dr Singh is currently involved in writing and editing of books.
