Dr. K. Ramasamy is the Vice-Chancellor of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore and Member of Planning Commission for Tamil Nadu State Government. He has completed his basic (1970) and masters’ degrees (1974-Agricultural Microbiology) in Agriculture from Annamalai University. Later he studied M.S. in Fermentation Technology (1977) and Ph.D. in Industrial Microbiology (1980) at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. In the same University, he gained his Post-Doctoral experience in Electron Microscopy and later on Gene Cloning from the Michigan State University, USA. He served in TNAU for more than 40 years in various departments and in various levels. He has also worked as Dean, School of Biosciences and Bioengineering, SRM University, Chennai and Vice-Chancellor, Karpagam University, Coimbatore.
Dr. S. Karthikeyan, Professor of Microbiology, Department of Bioenergy, TNAU, Coimbatore had served in this profession for 21 years. He had basics in agriculture, masters in microbiology and doctorate in environmental sciences from TNAU. He completed post doctoral training at Durban University of Technology, South Africa. He had published 7 book chapters, 34 seminar papers, 2 technical bulletins and 5 popular articles. His teaching excellency had won him the best teacher award in 2007.
Dr. U. Sivakumar, presently working as Professor in Department of Agricultural Microbiology, TNAU, Coimbatore started his career as Horticultural Officer (1991). He had his basics in Horticulture (1989), masters (1991) and doctorate (2003) in Agricultural Microbiology from TNAU. His post doctoral training was in Recombinant archaeal laccase production from University of Florida, USA. He had published 36 research papers, 29 seminar/symposium papers, 13 booklets/technical manuals, 6 book chapters and 25 lecture notes.
