'This research work attempts to study Scientometric portrait of academic and research community covering Vice Chancellors and Academic Deans in Universities working in State and Central Universities of South India covering states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu as well as the union territories of Puducherry. This provides a new insight for data collection using Scopus Database, Web of Science Database, Indian Citation Index and Google Scholar citations. This book will serve as a model to the planners in the higher education system and enable the younger scientists to emulate and thereby improve the research output of the individual, institute being served and help the country in moving towards better accreditation in the context of NAAC, NBA, NIRF etc., ranking.'
Dr. GJP Dixit, Assistant Librarian, completed a Master's degree in Library & Information Science in 2009 from Gulbarga University, Gulbarga and also completed a PDGLAN (Post-Graduate Diploma in Library Automation and Networking from Hyderabad University in 2012. He cleared the KSET (Karnataka State Eligibility Test for Lecturer/ Assistant Professor in 2013) and UGC-NET for Assistant Professor in Library & Information Science in 2014.
